It’s now finally finished
Posted in Historic Fashion, My sewing on Sep 8th, 2009
My reticule that is. I finished it today, and would have done so sooner, had it not been for the fact that there has been a big mystery over a lost roll of thread that I needed. It’s a confusing story, I have looked everywhere for the thread, but it’s nowhere to be found! The rest of my family has been helping me too, we’ve all crawled around on the floor searching, but no success. So I had to give up and use some other thread instead. It’s really annoying though, not being able to find it!
But anyway, it’s completed now. The bag that is. This is what it ended up looking like.
I ended up using the silk I had originally planned to make the whole thing out of as lining instead.
The pattern that I’ve used for this one is, of course, from Sense & Sensibility. The Elegant Lady’s Closet pattern.
Coming up next is the final piece of my outfit, my bonnet. I completed it today, and must say I am rather pleased with the result!

Your projects are all so lovely. Thank you for sharing. I hope you have a wonderful time in England. I can’t wait to see your bonnet and am certain it will be beautiful.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Devine
