Feeling a bit under the weather :(

My apologies for the lack of post of late, and for not posting pictures of the dress like I promised I would. I have spent the last few days in bed with a cold and have not been able to finish the dress like I planned to. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow, if I am well enough by then to go and do some sewing, and complete the last few little things I have left on the dress.
I also have an event I am planning to attend tomorrow, but the way things are looking at this moment I am not absolutley sure that I’ll be able to go… Which would be a great pity because it is something I have been looking forward to going to for a while now, and I have also been planning to write about it here afterwards. But hopefully by tomorrow I will feel better and will actually be able to go. 🙂
Sense and Sensibility Marianne's sickbed
I must say that one good thing about living in todays world is that you don’t have to worry so much about trifling illnesses like a cold. 😉 It’s not quite like when Marianne goes outside and gets her feet wet, catches a cold and nearly dies of it (of course we all know that the cold wasn’t really the thing that made her ill. But anyway…)!
We watched the 2009 Emma again yesterday (again for me, the other three members of my family who watched it with me had not seen it before) and on the subject of health; well, I think Mr. Woodhouse is so good in this version! His way of seeing danger and risk of disease in everything is quite hilarious! Indeed he is not the only one to worry about those risks. But the way he does it it is so amusing! Sense and Sensibility

A lot of the time I think they exaggerate it just a little. And I’ve often wondered; was rain really so much more dangerous back then…?? 😛

Francine – th pattern I use for my Regency dresses is the Sense & Sensibility pattern: http://www.sensibility.com/mainpage.htm. I really like their patterns, I like they styles and they are easy to use I find. Are you planning to make another dress?
